Hello Strings Students! I hope that you and your families are continuing to stay well. I have provided musical activities in the second set of five rectangles of the ‘String-Go’ sheet. If you would like to send me your answers to the questions I have asked, I will be delighted to receive them. My email address is [email protected] I have also attached pictures of each family of instruments and the individual instruments. There is still time to join our Google Classrooms. The codes are as follows: First Year Strings – 55xqvvc Second Year Strings - oze3yiv You are welcome to join our Zoom meetings using the links that are listed in the Google Classrooms. Remember to keep tuning your instruments! Tuning: Ask one of your parents or another adult to help you tune. Using a tuner or tuning app, tune your instrument with the fine tuners only. Turn the tuner clockwise (up towards the instrument) to make the notes higher. Turn the tuner counter clockwise (away from the instrument) to make the notes lower. Use your bow to play the notes and do this every day! Please contact me if you do not have your materials, your instrument is still at school or if you are having trouble tuning. In June, I will have information available about returning your instruments to Long and McQuade, Tapestry Music and to the Cooper Smith Music Library located at Rockheights Middle School.
